We continue to gather to worship together, watch the online sermon video, and pray as a church community. We follow all COVID-19 safety guidelines.

Breaking Bread

Breaking Bread invites our unhoused neighbors into the safe refuge and community of Hillside LA. Our goal is to help people experiencing homlessness find housing and jobs, while providing a loving community of support and the invitation to belong to a spiritual family. We provide meals and nutrition, human interaction and a soulful exchange of spirit. With a desire to engage and connect, we serve meals to our unhoused neighbors within our own neighborhood of El Sereno and invite our church volunteers to support our efforts.

Working with the County of Los Angeles

Hillside LA welcomes partnerships with the city of LA and organizations that serve our neighbors and our city. We understand that when we serve others, the Lord is pleased. Through our partnership with the County of Los Angeles, we have distributed over 10,000 meals and assisted in the distribution of over 620,000 meals to both residents in Permanent Supportive Housing and unsheltered people throughout LA County.
